Mardi Gras Results

The results are in, and Peter Mayer showed a marked improvement during Mardi Gras this year. The average Peter Mayer employee gained just 1.9 pounds during Mardi Gras 2010, compared to 2.7 pounds last year. Employees consumed just 1.8 aspirin tablets each morning during Mardi Gras 2010, a decrease of 43% from the 2009 average. The agency as a whole consumed 173 King Cakes, or 1.24 King Cakes per person, over the course of the 2010 Carnival season, a vast improvement from the previous year’s average of 1.89.

As King Cake consumption dropped, so too did hours of sleep. Employees averaged just 5.2 hours per night during Carnival this year, down 6.4 hours per night from the previous year – an outlier analysts attribute to excitement surrounding the New Orleans Saints’ historic Super Bowl run, which overlapped Carnival season. Peter Mayer looks forward to continuing the positive trend during next year’s Carnival festivities.

We’re All Actually Who Dats

After months, years and – in some cases – decades of masquerading as Peter Mayer employees, this football season has proven that we are all actually Who Dats. Because we love the Saints so much, we’ve decided to give the Who Dat Nation a gift: BeInThatNumber.com. The site aggregates all – and we do mean all – YouTube videos related to the Saints’ trip to the Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, President Mark Mayer has been busy making bets with one of the principals at Borshoff, the Colts’ agency. And today, while getting ready for the biggest game this city has ever known, the rest of us took a few moments to eat black and gold king cake and snap some photos.
