LAUNCHING A MAJOR NATIONAL BRAND

When CenturyTel merged with Embarq this year, the nation's fourth largest telecommunications firm was born − CenturyLink − a Fortune 250 company, with customers in 33 states and 7.1 million residential and business access lines. Peter Mayer brought the new CenturyLink brand to life. The entire effort launched October 19 with a national advertising campaign and new website.

ALL EYES ON THE NATIONAL WWII MUSEUM

The National WWII Museum opened three new venues − The Solomon Victory Theater, Stage Door Canteen, and John Besh's American Sector Restaurant − during a star-studded weekend in early November. Celebrities such as Tom Hanks, Tom Brokaw, Patricia Clarkson and Mickey Rooney were on hand for all the events. Peter Mayer's PR department executed and delivered results on all fronts, including national TV exposure on Monday Night Football, Late Show with David Letterman, and NBC's TODAY show. Overall the campaign has generated more than 900 million impressions in national and key regional markets.

BRANDING A NEW HEALTHCARE SYSTEM

Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) came to Peter Mayer with a challenge: combine HCA's various Lafayette-area healthcare facilities into one regional health system, with a singular brand. HCA wanted patients to be aware of the new system and confident that the new system would meet all their healthcare needs. Peter Mayer developed a name and identity for the new system − The Regional Health System of Acadiana − including new logos and comprehensive graphic standards.
