Be The One
Following the oil spill in April 2010, Women of the Storm, a nonprofit Gulf Coast advocacy group, asked people to stop pointing fingers and instead, raise one in support of coastal restoration.
But with almost no budget, a traditional campaign to collect petition signatures was out of the question. We started with the simple, yet powerful “Be the One” call to action and created a star-studded video urging people to sign the online petition. We then seeded it through social media, PR, print, out-of-home, t-shirts and more. The use of QR codes made it even easier for people to sign up. The results far exceeded our goal with more than 130,000 signatures, close to 500,000 YouTube views and an IAC Award for Best Non-Profit Integrated Ad Campaign.
