Zatarain’s Mardi Gras 2011
Not everyone can make it to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. But in 2011, Zatarain’s gave people everywhere a taste of what Fat Tuesday is all about and encouraged them to bring Mardi Gras to their table.
We launched a social media-driven campaign promoting the use of Zatarain’s products while giving people several ways to experience the revelry of the Carnival season. Coupons for Zatarain’s rice mixes, special recipes from celebrity chef John Besh, a custom Zatarain’s Pandora station and live streaming parade cams from New Orleans helped people celebrate Mardi Gras wherever they were. And that’s exactly what they did. Zatarain’s saw a 26% sales increase of rice mixes and added more than 56,000 new Facebook friends during the campaign.
