As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure and driving data-driven decision-making across our marketing initiatives. You will work closely with our Media & Analytics team to architect, develop, and maintain data pipelines that enable the seamless collection, processing, and analysis of marketing data. Your contributions will empower our organization to optimize campaigns, improve client experiences, and make data-backed strategic decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and loading marketing data from various sources, such as web analytics tools, digital media advertising platforms, CRM systems, and more.
  • Integrate disparate data sources to create a unified view of marketing performance, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Develop and manage data warehousing solutions, including data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization.
  • Create and optimize Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to prepare data for analysis and reporting.
  • Implement data quality checks and validation procedures to maintain data integrity and reliability.
  • Continuously optimize data pipelines and processes to enhance performance, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data engineering processes and systems.
  • Maintain existing data warehouse infrastructure and API pipelines while evaluating improvements to be made for a completely automated system combining various data sources and formats.
  • Optimizing operational and functional efficiencies on Power BI when working with large datasets and multiple data sources.
  • Develop a strong understanding of business requirements by working with internal teams to define technical and process requirements.
  • Develop ad-hoc reporting for diverse business problems.
  • Assist with design, development, and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, analysis, validation, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the digital media management team to perform technical analysis and define requirements for service integrations.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and provide data engineering support.
  • Lead enterprise reporting and dashboard development to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Deliver strategic business value through data-driven insights and solutions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in an advertising/marketing environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, SQL, and knowledge of data integration tools.
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) and ETL tools.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing data sources (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Programmatic Demand Side Platforms) and metrics/measurement.
  • Client service orientation and effective communication skills (written, oral, presenting).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
